Last Updated: May 12, 2026

Effective from: 12 May 2026

Provider: Blade Labs Pte. Ltd., Singapore

These Terms govern your access to and use of Ask Ali. By accessing or using Ask Ali, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Ask Ali.

1. What Ask Ali Is

Ask Ali is an AI-assisted research tool designed to help users explore Islamic finance, Shariah governance, compliance, regulatory, product, and documentation questions.

Ask Ali is provided as a research preview for testing, evaluation, feedback, and product improvement. It is not a production service and must not be treated as a final advisory, certification, audit, compliance, legal, regulatory, financial, or Shariah decision-making system.

Ask Ali is built on Blade Labs’ ZeroH Disclosure architecture. Where enabled, ZeroH Disclosure is designed to apply disclosure controls before data is shared with external systems and to support auditability. The exact controls may vary depending on the deployment, configuration, and access granted.

2. Eligibility and Access

You may use Ask Ali only if you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to accept these Terms, and are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law.

If you use Ask Ali on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Blade Labs may approve, refuse, suspend, limit, or revoke access at any time, including for legal, security, operational, misuse, or research-preview reasons.

3. Research Preview Status

Ask Ali may contain errors, omissions, bugs, incomplete features, inaccurate responses, unavailable features, interrupted functionality, or unexpected behaviour.

Blade Labs may add, remove, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of Ask Ali at any time. Blade Labs does not commit to making Ask Ali generally available or preserving any feature, workflow, model, interface, or functionality.

4. No Professional Advice

Ask Ali does not provide legal, regulatory, Shariah, financial, investment, tax, accounting, audit, insurance, credit, product approval, or professional advice.

Ask Ali does not issue fatwas, Shariah rulings, Shariah opinions, Shariah certifications, Shariah board approvals, regulatory determinations, audit conclusions, or compliance approvals.

You must not rely on Ask Ali as the sole basis for any material decision.

Any Output used in formal documents, client deliverables, regulatory submissions, Shariah board papers, transaction documents, product approvals, audit records, or public materials must first be independently reviewed and approved by appropriately qualified professionals.

5. AI Output and Human Review

Ask Ali is an AI system. You are interacting with AI-generated responses, not a human scholar, lawyer, regulator, auditor, financial advisor, consultant, or professional reviewer.

Ask Ali may generate Output that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unsupported, inconsistent, misleading, incorrectly attributed, or fabricated. This may include incorrect citations, legal references, regulatory references, Shariah references, quotations, standards, figures, dates, or source descriptions.

You are responsible for independently verifying all Output before using, sharing, publishing, or relying on it.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of Ask Ali, your inputs, your interpretation of Output, and any decisions, documents, or communications created using Output.

You must not submit personal, confidential, client-sensitive, privileged, regulated, classified, unpublished, or commercially sensitive material unless you are authorised to do so and your organisation has approved that use.

For the research preview, Blade Labs recommends using anonymised, redacted, synthetic, or representative materials wherever possible.

7. Data Use

Blade Labs may process prompts, uploaded materials, generated Output, account information, usage data, logs, feedback, technical data, and related metadata to provide, operate, secure, monitor, debug, support, and evaluate Ask Ali during the research preview.

Blade Labs may retain interaction records, including prompts, uploaded materials, generated Output, usage logs, feedback, and related technical metadata, for service operation, security, misuse monitoring, debugging, research-preview evaluation, legal compliance, and dispute management.

Where Ask Ali is provided through ZeroH Disclosure or an institutional deployment, data shared with external systems may be subject to configured disclosure controls, redaction, masking, permissioning, logging, or proof-generation workflows before transmission. The scope of those controls may vary by deployment.

Blade Labs will not use your prompts, uploaded files, generated Output, or institution-specific content to train or fine-tune underlying AI models unless you or your organisation expressly agree.

Ask Ali may process data through Blade Labs systems and third-party service providers used to operate the service. Data may be processed in more than one jurisdiction.

Blade Labs uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect data processed through Ask Ali. No system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.

8. Acceptable Use

You must not use Ask Ali to:

  • violate any law, regulation, sanctions rule, professional duty, contractual obligation, or third-party right;
  • misrepresent Output as verified, certified, regulator-approved, Shariah-approved, legally compliant, audited, or professionally advised;
  • make regulated, binding, high-impact, or material decisions without qualified human review;
  • submit malware, malicious code, hidden instructions, prompt-injection content, or material designed to disrupt or manipulate the service;
  • bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, safety systems, rate limits, monitoring, or security features;
  • extract system prompts, source code, model weights, non-public technical information, or other users’ data;
  • use Ask Ali to build, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product without Blade Labs’ written consent;
  • publish non-public benchmarks, performance evaluations, security information, architectural details, or confidential product information without Blade Labs’ written consent.

Blade Labs may monitor, filter, block, limit, suspend, or terminate access where it reasonably believes these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect users, Blade Labs, third parties, or the service.

9. Third-Party Sources

Ask Ali may refer to third-party sources, standards, laws, regulations, websites, databases, Shariah materials, or other references.

Blade Labs does not warrant that any source, citation, quotation, standard, legal material, regulatory material, or Shariah reference surfaced by Ask Ali is accurate, complete, current, correctly quoted, or applicable to your context.

10. Confidentiality

Non-public information about Ask Ali, ZeroH Disclosure, product features, interfaces, workflows, prompts, system design, performance, security measures, pricing, roadmap, and documentation is confidential information of Blade Labs.

You must not disclose Blade Labs’ confidential information to third parties or publish non-public screenshots, evaluations, benchmarks, security information, or technical details without Blade Labs’ prior written consent.

11. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, ratings, comments, bug reports, or ideas about Ask Ali, Blade Labs may use that feedback to improve, develop, operate, evaluate, and commercialise Ask Ali and related products or services.

Feedback does not include your substantive Shariah analysis, proprietary institutional knowledge, client materials, or original interpretive content submitted as input.

12. Intellectual Property

Blade Labs and its licensors own all rights in Ask Ali, ZeroH Disclosure, related software, workflows, interfaces, documentation, prompts, systems, designs, trademarks, trade secrets, and intellectual property.

Subject to these Terms, Blade Labs grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Ask Ali during the research preview for permitted purposes.

13. Suspension and Termination

Blade Labs may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Ask Ali at any time, including if you breach these Terms, create a legal or security risk, misuse the service, or if the research preview changes or ends.

You may stop using Ask Ali at any time.

14. No Warranties

Ask Ali, and all Output are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blade Labs disclaims all warranties, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, security, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, legal correctness, regulatory compliance, Shariah compliance, professional suitability, and uninterrupted operation.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blade Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, data, reputation, or commercial advantage.

Blade Labs will not be liable for losses arising from reliance on Output for Shariah, legal, regulatory, financial, investment, tax, accounting, audit, product approval, governance, certification, contractual, commercial, or other material decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blade Labs’ liability arising out of or relating to Ask Ali or these Terms will be limited to direct damages actually proven.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Blade Labs and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of Ask Ali, your inputs, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your unauthorised submission of confidential, personal, privileged, regulated, or third-party information.

17. Changes

Blade Labs may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of Ask Ali after the updated Terms take effect means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Ask Ali.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Ask Ali will be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre under the SIAC Rules. The seat of arbitration will be Singapore. The tribunal will consist of one arbitrator. The language of arbitration will be English.

Blade Labs may seek urgent injunctive, equitable, or protective relief from any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property, confidential information, systems, security, users, or legal rights.

19. General

These Terms form the agreement between you and Blade Labs for use of Ask Ali during the research preview.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement between Blade Labs and your organisation, the separate written agreement will prevail.

These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, fiduciary, advisory, lawyer-client, Shariah advisory, or professional relationship.
